Construction updates

The Valley Creek Bridge replacement project in Stillwater County is funded with a grant from the Montana Coal Endowment Program (MCEP) with matching funds grant from 
the Montana Department of Transportation / Senate Bill 536. Stillwater County is utilizing the GC/CM construction method for a streamlined project with the contract being awarded to TCA Group
.  Construction on the bridge is anticipated to begin in mid-October of 2024 with an anticipated completion date of late December 2024.

Update 1/6/25

The bridge is open, project is in winter shut down currently. The future task will be pulling the detour bridge.

Update 11/29/24

The concrete was covered with insulated blankets and heated during the curing period. The crew was off for Thanksgiving, but back on site Monday.

Update 11/19/24

The pile drive was completed according to plan and the crew spent Sunday and Monday building forms for the concrete abutments, which were then poured.

Update 11/11/24

Crews have excavated and compacted the area for the concrete caps, as well as the rip rap slopes. The rip rap and driving pile are being replaced this week.

Update 10/27/24

Detour bridge and road has been installed and traffic has been moved over for the project. Demolition of existing bridge coming this week.
