Construction updates
Utilizing a strategy to reduce construction costs, the replacement of both the Old Town Bridge East and the Old Town Bridge West will be bid and constructed under one contract. Funding for both projects is provided by grants from the Montana Coal Endowment Program and the Montana Department of Transportation / Senate Bill 536.
Paving is scheduled for Old Town Road on Monday, April 20th and Tuesday, April 21st. Broadwater County has added paving overlay to the project, which will extend approximately ¼ mile past the end of the Old Town West Bridge. Landowners near the project site should expect delays for paving activities on these days.

The contractor has mobilized to the site and is currently working on installing a work bridge.
June 20th, 2025:
The construction contracts are in place for the Old Town Project and the Contractor is planning on mobilizing to the site in July. The project is scheduled to be completed in May of 2026.
