About
Gallatin County Manhattan Trails
Feasibility Study

Gallatin County has been awarded federal funding through the Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods (RCN) program to complete a feasibility study for the Manhattan Trail System. This study will explore the potential to build an eight-mile separated bicycle and pedestrian path connecting the rural communities of Manhattan, Logan, and Three Forks in southwestern Montana.

Project Purpose

The goal of this study is to:

  • Identify a safe, accessible route for non-motorized travel.

  • Develop a preliminary engineering plan and cost estimate.

  • Engage the public and stakeholders to help shape the project’s vision and alignment.

Key considerations include proximity to schools, parks, and commercial areas to ensure the trail serves community needs.
